Program Note

Gamera is a giant flying fire-breathing turtle that battles the Gyaos, giant winged creatures that attack humans. It is a reboot of the Gamera film series, the ninth installment, and the first entry in the Heisei Gamera trilogy.

Program Note

After a 14 year absence, this lm was released to celebrate Gamera’s 30th anniversary. The enemy is Gyaos, which rst appeared in the third lm in the franchise. These monsters are genetically engineered from an ancient civilization. Gyaos, then Gamera ght a erce battle in Fukuoka Dome. This movie was praised for setting a new milestone in the genre.
