Program Note

In 1945, a group of children are liberated from a concentration camp only to find themselves faced with hunger, thirst and a pack of vicious dogs set loose by SS officers.

Program Note

Eight children who survived the prison camp. The movie reminds us of Lord of The Flies, which begins with a mystery thriller based on the death of a nanny and the presence of a monster, and turns into a survival drama involving Hanka, who plays the role of a leader and mother, and Kraut and Wladek, who want to impress her. The acting of children struggling to survive in dire conditions is amazing. (Ellen Y. D. KIM)
