Program Note

8-year old Luke invents an imaginary friend named Daniel who leads them both into a world of fantasy and imagination. After Daniel tricks Luke into doing something terrible, Luke is forced to lock him away. Twelve years later, Luke brings Daniel back and he now appears as a charming, manipulative young man with a terrifying secret agenda.

Program Note

Adam Egypt Moritmer’s original, terrifying tale of a traumatized young man Luke with his imaginary friend Daniel (menacingly played by Patrick Schwarzenegger) effectively blends dark comedy with both psychological and body horrors. Two characters clash and feed off on one another and, with clever plot twists, unsettle and thrill the audiences with extreme vengeance. (Jongsuk Thomas NAM)
