Program Note

Discovering their dying mother's will to leave her house to her new husband, two brothers go to extremes to make sure they get their rightful inheritance. Their plan, however, runs into trouble and reawakens the conflict between the two siblings.

Program Note

Two men wearing backpacks run across the field and reach a house. While heroic melody flows out, we can find out who they are. They are two sons of the house owner. They planed this crime for their inheritance rights when their mother tries to hand over the ownership of this house to their step father. The brother’s plan for a successful job is quite elaborate including working clothes, headlamps, and even masks. However, their timetable doesn’t work as they imagine. Everywhere in the house is filled with small items reminding of their childhood and it makes them more confused. Besides, things get twisted to unexpected ways the accident snowballed. Brother’s Nest is directed by Clayton Jacobson, an actor and a director. He stars as Jeff in this film as well. Clayton Jacobson captures the crack of hidden emotions through two contradictory personalities of the brothers. This film begins as a comedy film happening in limited space, their mom’s house, then repeats its expansion again and again, finally turns into the classical tragedy. It is good work featuring the variation of genre to come and go between comedy and tragedy. (SUNG Sun-hae)
