Synopsis

The internet has redefined fame and celebrity power. Anyone with an internet connection and the smarts can now be an internet superstar (or in internet-speak, an influencer) with millions following. Who are these followers?
FOLLOWER is a psychological thriller that examines how far a rabid fan will go to be with the influencer of her dreams. With the internet and affordable plastic surgery as level-playing fields, she goes beyond stalking to transform herself into a powerful influencer in her own right and ensnares her idol.
Her process is very much like therapy on how to overcome obsession: admission, personal empowerment, support and moving on, except she does a twisted take to further fuel her obsession. Because her idol cannot see the real her under all the layers of adipose, the fan goes for a head-to-toe transformation with plastic surgery (admission and personal empowerment). She then launches a new career as an internet star (support and moving on) so that her idol may now find her worthy.
By the time the idol catches on to the intricate web of desire and deceit the fan has spun for him, it is too late… or is it?
