Synopsis
In the middle of the English Civil War, a small group of deserters flee from a raging battle through an overgrown field, where they are captured by an alchemist. They all end up eating mushrooms from the field and experiencing hallucinogenic consequences. Ben Wheatley, one of the Festival’s beloved directors, returns with a black comedy, laced with sharp wit and madness.
