Synopsis
It is Tokyo in the year 1997 and another financial scandal has hit Japan’s corporate society. The Asahi Central Bank(ACB) has diverted some 30 billion yen to a sokaiya racketter. The Tokyo Public Prosecutors Office conducts a raid on the bank’s lavish headquarters. Reporter Wada Miho is present as virtually every scrap of paper and every computer disc is carted off for the ensuing investigation. She hears of the gang of four, a group of Planning Department middle managers. Among them is Kitano, the son-in-law of the banks former president, who finds himself in conflict with the gang’s policy; convince the board of directors to come clean resign. As the senior executives resign one by one and the bank comes under new management, Kitanos wife discovers a chilling document in their mailbox. It is a map with something traced on it-the route their young son takes to school.
