Synopsis

From the Seminary of Iceland in 1643 graduated a brilliant young idealist, Reverend Jon Magnusson. As the new pastor, Rev. Magnusson was required to marry the window of his predecessor according to the terns of the benefice. The window was thirty years his senior, Almost immediately the couple was attacked by Satan’s sorcerers, But Rev. Magnusson, according to his schooling, could save the souls of Though he perfomed his work well, Rev. Magnusson was not safe from the devil yet. Against his will, the pastor was having carnal thoughts about a woman that was not his wife, but a woman from one of the sorcerer’s families. As Rev.Magnusson know from his years of study at the seminary, witches often employed lust to lead the righteous into temptation…

Hrafn Gunnlaugsson

Hrafn Gunnlaugsson is a director and a scriptwriter and a author to all the scripts of his films. Despite his work as a film director, he directed plays for the theatre, published poetry, a novel, short stories and one-act plays. In 1980, he began feature film direction with < Father’s Estate > and he is the first Icelandic filmmaker with < The Raven Flies > one the main list of Berlin in 1984.
