Program Note

After witnessing his wife cheating on him, a suicidal saxophonist decides he has had enough. He teams up with his idiot friend, and a single mother who wants to be a nun, and together they plan to rob a café.

Program Note

A woman and two men ee from an unsympathetic world. Trio encapsulates the ambition and drive of B-movies. Director Park Chanwook himself admits it was a failure, but the signs it was completed by a master are clear; the nal image of the lead character stuck between revenge, life and death, is Park Chanwook’s true domain. Trio is ‘60s star Do Geum-bong’s posthumous work. (MO Eun-young)
