Program Note

The jungle of Vietnam in 1969. A Vietnamese girl with a gun suddenly appears in front of a Korean soldier who fell behind. The two confront each other with guns and no one else is in the middle of the jungle. But just a little laugh is enough to break the ice. The movie is based on the director’s fear of war when he was in the military and it wishes for all the peace in the world as its title suggests. We can easily detect the humor and popular sense of director Lee Seokhoon, who has directed Dancing Queen and The Pirates. (MO Eun-young)
