Program Note

As Thailand’s best entertainment movie in 2017, this film used the common theme like cheating that one might have experienced directly or indirectly to make an international fraud thriller. Director Nattawut Poonpiriya, who used to direct vertisements and music videos, showed outstanding filming and editing skills to offer a great joy to the audience with surprising casting of newcomers. The film gained good results both from the critics and in terms of revenues to get worldwide distribution. A genius girl Lynn entered into a prestigious private school as a scholarship student. She ended up helping her best friend Grace, who was pretty and lively but could get kicked out of the drama club because of poor grades. Grace’s boyfriend Pat gives her money and suggest that she help with cheating. She hesitated for a few moments, but she needed the money because of her poor household situation. She became more creative and daring in cheating to make a fortune from many students. However, her wrongdoings get caught by Bank, who was another scholarship student, and reported on her. She barely missed getting expelled, but all her scholarship benefits got cancelled. Nevertheless, in order to make big bucks in an international exam that she had to take to go abroad and study in the U.S., Lyn got Bank to join in the large fraudulent act. (PARK Sung-ho)
