Program Note

A huge whale is left abandoned after drifting on the Han River. Strange things occur, but nobody in the city cares; only dogs and birds are seen to move around the whale. Sigh of Sighs is a record of the grim scene that recently played out in Korea.

Program Note

A dead whale (not a monster) appears in the Han River and unpleasant air wafts around. Simple and bleak, black and white images backed by dismal music creates dystopian suspense. Sigh of sighs immerses viewers, like they’re watching the start of a disaster movie, and they will expect a sequel. (JE Jeong-ju)
