Program Note

A group of people wearing bird masks indiscriminately beat a man death. The last thing the man said was, 'I'm not a witness'. Ship of Fools asks us to consider the types of violence that can or cannot be justified, and in what situation.

Program Note

This film delivers a counterpunch to the things the viewers expect to see and judge. Throughout the whole journey, there is tension between the violent energy and the camera capturing it. Ship of fools forces viewers to meet the characters directly without a cinematographer – it is worth the experience. (CHANG Hyun-sang)
