Program Note
Hong is a working mom who does her best to take care of her daughter, Nami. One day Nami is kidnapped and sold to a brothel by the illegal mobs. She is rescued but eventually kills herself because of the trauma. Hong decides to kill the mobs.

He was born in Cheongdo, North Gyeongsang Province and studied Economics at Sungkyunkwan University. He directed numerous films and received the Best New Director Award at the 1979 Daejong Film Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards.
