Program Note
Yukio’s uncle, a lecturer on philosophy, is the dork in his family. He lives off his family and continues to stir trouble. One day, he develops a crush on Eri and goes to Hawaii to follow her. Yukio discovers new sides to his uncle during their journey.

YAMASHITA Nobuhiro
Born in Japan, 1976, he is a graduate of the Osaka University of Arts Media Course. His film Linda Linda Linda (2005) was a smash hit. A Gentle Breeze in the Village (2007) and The Matsugane Potshot Affair (2007) won him the Hochi Film Awards as Best Director.
