Program Note
A man lost in the mountains is saved by Yuki-onna (Snow Woman). Shortly after, the man gets married and happily lives with his family, until his remark of Yuki-onna. This film uniquely portrays the relationship between nature and humans.

SUGINO Kiki
Born in 1984 in Hiroshima, Japan, Sugino Kiki has a prolific career as actress and producer with films like Odayaka (2012) and Chigasaki Story (2014). Kyoto Elegy (2014) is her directorial debut film and she presented her second directorial feature Taksu (2014) at the 2014 BIFF.
