Program Note
A group of women climbs a summer mountain situated in South Korea. They are refugees who have settled into South Korean society after fleeing from North Korea. For them, climbing the mountains has been an unavoidable journey for survival - a matter of life and death.
Director
IM Heung-soon
Born in 1969. Im Heung-soon studied Western Painting and has been active as a painter and director. He won the Silver Lion at Venice Biennale for the first time in Korea with Factory Complex (2015) and also gaining huge acclaims with his films and artworks.
