Il-young, her name was made because she was abandoned just-born-baby in a coin-locker #10(Il-Young sounds in Korean) in s subway station. After eight years, she is sold off to the godmother of Chinatown syndicate a.k.a ‘Mom’ and becomes a member of her ‘family’. Only the useful one can survive there, in Chinatown. Coinlocker Girl is a story of two women who is struggling their own ways to survive in a cold blooded, brutal world.
